Steampunk • Italian Style
I photographed some machinery near an abandoned mine in Italy. The mine was built in the 1930s and closed in the 1960s. This thingamajig was just tossed to the side of the road under some long leaf bushes. It displays a nice variety of cogs and bolts along with a thick coat of rust... even in the arid environment. It would've been a great souvenir to take home but I couldn't fit it in my bag.
Here's what the thingamajig might have looked like on the side of the road during WWII. I'd feel pretty confident ducking behind this hunk of iron to avoid some bullets.
I photographed the thingamajig with my iPhone 6S Plus.

Thanks for the art @overkillcoin... minnows, dolphins, whales... I’m down with squid!
Looks like it belongs in some museum. I wonder what it is.
For sure... but I couldn't figure it out!
This is what I want my writing desk to look like lol. Great shot!
Yes very high tech!
woh what curious machines. It is impressive as the technology gradually to advanced
Yes it is curious!
Maybe between us we can lift it!!
Ha ha... maybe if it was on the moon.
Bien dicho!.. te apoyo amigo!!!!
I am all over the Steam Punk or should I say Steem Punk!
That is really unique... It looks besuifully aged, like if you polished everything off it could run again! It would be a perfect backdrop for a steampunk photo shoot! Thanks for sharing!
