Abandoned Shit Weekly Contest- Crumbling Church Interior with Rock Band
I'm a rule follower. It's really hard for me to cross a chain link fence or a No Trespassing sign. Which is really such a bummer since I'm also a photographer and often those are where the opportunities lie!
When @rubygoat and I were driving home from New York, I plotted out all the bizarre things I could find. On the app I used, I remember there being a category of "weird stuff," which is how we came across the crumbling church. In the app it said "Private property, obtain permission from owner."
Well, we figured we'd at least drive by.
We parked to find the gate open and... a Swedish rock band setting up to film a music video.
I think I may have nodded in their direction but not one word was exchanged. I may have tried harder if I spoke Swedish.
Nevertheless, we wandered in...
They set up and tested sound and we wandered a super-sketchy falling down church. The lights and the hard rock rattling the old rafters made it all the more an experience.
Truth be told, I don't think they had permission to be there either.
Months later my sister actually found the music video online. I have no idea how... I wish I could find it now to share with you!
Wow amazing photo! I will follow you and upvote ;)
Thank you so much!
Some great pictures and a very interesting building it looks like. I've no idea what Indiana is like but if there are more places like this for urban exploring it could be a great alternative holiday. Thanks for sharing mate.
I want to hang out in there! I really like the stone arches, brick, and windows!
