WINNERS! Abandoned Shit Weekly Contest, №.12 - "Collapsed/Burnt-Down."
Dukes and Duchesses of the Deserted!
"Collapsed and/or Burnt-down". That's a pretty specific theme, but you guys nailed it anyway. We had around 50 good entries, which is more than I was anticipating. Alright, let's take a look at the results!
The Theme:
This week's theme was = Collapsed/Burnt-down! The abandoned subjects must have been collapsed from abandonment, or burnt down.
The results:
1st Place Winner - 10 SBD: @elshadr
I just couldn't get this entry from @elshadr out of my mind while picking winners, therefore it gets a seat at the top! It's crazy how this once beautiful structure now looks like it's just melting into the ground. While I'm not the type to wish harm unto anyone, when it comes to mankind vs. nature... I'm always one to root for mother nature. Still, I hope there were no injuries or casualties in this collapse as the post didn't specify.
From the author: "I took while visiting Pidie Jaya earthquake victims, Aceh - Indonesia. Photographs of personal documentation I took at the Pidie Jaya earthquake site in mid-2016."

2nd Place Winner - 5 SBD: @artofwisdom
It was a really toss up between the last one and this entry for 1st. Not only is the collapsing, but the moss and plant growth on the roof was pretty awesome. AND it has some historical significance as it's found in Poland and was built by the Nazis.
From the author: "That's one of the many buildings of the ' DAG Fabrik Bromberg' - a military complex in the forest of North Poland. It was buildt in the times of WW2 by Nazi Germans and used by communists for a short time after the war. Empty for many years, it started to disintegrate in the natural way."

3rd Place Winner - 2.5 SBD: @matrixcardinals
Not much was said about this entry, but I sort of like how that added to the mystery. It looks like one hell of a cool place to explore.
From the author: "A once beautiful castle which overlooked Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri."

Honorable Mentions - 1 SBD each - In no particular order:
@jayclar30
"I've never seen anything like this before but the smell that was coming from the cabin was absolutely disgusting, it was so bad that it was hard to breath and I didn't stay long to take photos at all."

@j85063

It's the first time I am seeing this and I love the topic because although not having explored abandoned shit for a very long time I always wanted to do it again.
I'll keep dropping by
it is a picture of a mosque that collapsed due to the earthquake in pidie, aceh, indonesia last year. Congratulations to the winner
Teurimoung Geunaseih syedara, Regards
Seulamat atas terpilihnya foto diatas, memang mantap fotonya :) keren
I add a little explanation here, that the earthquake happened just before the Fajr Prayers and the Jamaah had not arrived yet, there were only a few Mosque managers and they escaped the disaster.
So, no one person the victim when this building collapsed in an earthquake.
