ASWCONTEST - Abandoned Bridge

When we first moved to this country we were driving up the coast to reach another coastal town. Suddenly the road came to an abrupt hold and we were faced with this bridge in front of us. Next to it was parked a rather old and suspect looking ferry boat, so we decided not to take any risks, turned around and did a small detour to reach our final destination. The bridge is still there today 8 years later, but a brand new beautiful bridge has been built alongside it. I have no idea about the history of this bridge, whether it collapsed, or maybe the construction was never completed. Nonetheless, it was abandoned and remains so to this day!
