Abandoned Shit Weekly Contest - №.22 - 'Water' #aswcontest - Ship Runs a Ground !!
My last visit to Thailand in August this year we had decided with some friends to visit Koh Samui island which is a one the most popular tourist island in Thailand. Koh Samui island in Thailand is the second largest island, lies in the Gulf of Thailand and is a island very famous for it's coconut growing apart from been a party island.
We flew to Surat Thani then took the big ferry from the mainland across the Gulf of Thailand to Koh Samui island the slow way but more scenic. On arrival to the other side i spotted this old tourist boat well i assume it was grounded and left on the shore line of the Gulf of Thailand.
I would say this boat was originally one of the tourist boats that would accommodate passengers crossing them from the main land of Surat Thani across the Gulf of Thailand to Koh Samui island but i do think this boat has out dated itself and was no longer required for service and was left as a memory of the days.
This boat has actually become a land mark for Koh Samui island and it looks quite artistic with the small trees growing of it's deck and through the windows , i would say with a fresh paint job and a bit of work you could probably turn it into the "Shore Bar Boat" nice view for it don't you reckon.
