Signs in the Sky; End of Days

If you are someone who takes time out every once and a while to see what people are saying about the world in which we live, you might find yourself defending or opposing the view others' have on what is really going on in the space outside our atmosphere. You see, if you're not one who is prone to having thoughts of the end of days already, you might find yourself at the bottom of a mountain of information pertaining to occurrences in space and how they mark the coming of the end of days here on Earth. Don't worry though, for every cockamamie theory there is on when the world will end, there are just as many, if not more, documented views of how everything in space is repeatable and foreseeable. When you take everything into account, the end of the world moves farther and farther away. But let's see what all the hullabaloo is all about, ok?

The woman giving birth and Revelations 12.

"A great sign appeared in Heaven: a woman clothed with the Sun, with the Moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in Heaven: an enormous Red Dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept away a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the Earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who "will rule all the nations with an iron scepter." and her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260-days.

Then war broke out in Heaven. Michael and his Angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his Angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in Heaven. The great dragon was hurled down; that ancient serpent called the Devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to Earth, and his Angels with him.

Then I heard a loud voice in Heaven say:

Now have come the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God and the authority of the Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Therefore rejoice, you Heavens and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the Earth and the Sea because the Devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury, because he knows that the time is short.

When the Dragon had seen that he had been hurled down to Earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. The woman was given two wings of a great Eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the Serpents reach. Then from his mouth the Serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and swept her away with the torrent. But the Earth helped by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. Then the Dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring; those who keep God's commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

That says a lot. We'll get more into what exactly happened in the sky on September 23, 2017, but for now we'll just add what else the Bible has to say about signs in the sky.

Acts 2:19
And I will grant wonders in the sky above and signs on the Earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

Luke 21:25
There will be signs in the Sun and Moon and stars, and on the Earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the seas and the waves.

Genesis 1:14
Then God said, "Let there be light in the expanse of the Heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years."

Genesis 9:12-17
God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. "It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. "When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth." And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth."

Luke 21:11
and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

Jeremiah 10:2
Thus says the LORD, "Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Although the nations are terrified by them.

Joel 2:30
I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire and columns of smoke.

Matthew 24:30
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

Revelation 15:1
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels who had seven plagues, which are the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished.

We need to remember though, that it was also said that, "

These interpretations leave us only to believe that though there are great signs in the sky, no one knows the hour or the day that these things will pass. Recognizing all that there is here to lean toward and against, first becoming knowledgeable about what constitutes a sign and what does not should be an obvious place to start when looking for signs of the end of the world.
