The Celestial Equator

The Celestial Equator is a circle in the celestial sphere (the sphere of the sky), which is an imaginary sphere which assumes all the stars to be at the same distance from Earth. The circle is drawn as a projection of Earth's Equator.

As you can see, just as there is a Celestial Equator, there is a Celestial North Pole and a Celestial South Pole.
