A "not so happy birthday" for Facebook

Hi guys. You may of may have not found me in the past here on Steemit, and if this is the first time that you have read my work, then welcome. My name is Paul and I am a professional Astrologer. Now I don't write these outdated horoscopes for individual Sun signs, as Astrology on the web has got far more sophisticated than that these days.

Astrology for those who are unaware is the study of the movement of the planets, how they interact, and thus how they affect life here on earth. Now exactly how they affect us is unproven, but what for us Astrologers is certain is that their journeys through the different constellations do bring about quantifiable changes in human attitudes. Studies from the Mesopotamians, through Egyptian life, the Romans and Greeks showed that prediction of when crops would fail or when wars would begin was totally possible through studying the position and movements of the planets. Instead of studying the night sky by sight, these days we have computers to do the calculations of the orbits of the planets in milliseconds. For Astrology, the dawn of the internet was the beginning of a new Age.

So what of Facebook and Astrology? Well anything that has a start date can have a Astrology chart, be it a human life or indeed a company. I have a birthday, and so does Facebook. It was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on 4th February 2004. That's the date Facebook was launched to the world, and so it is coming up to it's 14th birthday. That my friends is a significant year. Why? Well you think back to your teenage years, when you were 14 years old. Did you have to face the wrath of authority? Were you going through puberty and growing up. Hormones raging? That represents half a cycle of Saturn. You see it takes 28 years or so for Saturn to orbit the Sun. Saturn in Astrology is the great teacher, it is hard on all of us. Saturn in Greek is called Kronos, or translated as "old father time". This planet teaches us lessons, it is hard on us and it brings disappointment and loss.

A quarter turn of Saturn around the Sun represents the 7 year itch, the time when so many relationships hit the rocks. Remember that any relationship has a "start date" and so from that moment it becomes official between two people, the clock starts ticking. The 90 degree angle that Saturn makes to its original birth position is called a square. It's a potent position where difficult situations that we didn't expect causes us pain and trouble. The 14 year point means Saturn is half way around, opposing the position it was at birth. Facebook in 2018 has a Saturn opposition going on. For Facebook at birth Saturn was at 7 degrees Cancer on 4th Feb 04. Today, Saturn is at 5 degrees Capricorn, in the opposite sign to Cancer, almost directly opposed.

This is the time when chickens come home to roost, and when it is challenged (opposition) by a new force. That force I believe is the blockchain, where you are now. The digital revolution is starting to catch up with Zuckerberg and Facebook, and how did they react to it? By banning all adverts for Bitcoins and other Cryptocurrencies. There is the challenge being laid out. We all have to face up to challenges, and Facebook being an Aquarian company, and fixed in nature, has decided to block out anything it doesn't agree with. Do you know any Aquarians? Are they stubborn as hell? Indeed they are. Facebook is reacting just like an Aquarian would, throwing it's toys out of the pram.

There is a bit more to the picture than just this Saturn opposition though. The Aquarian Sun of Facebook lies at 15 degrees Aquarius. Now on the 31st Jan a couple of days ago there was a Lunar eclipse at 11 degrees Leo, in the opposite sign to Aquarius, and the Summer eclipse on the 11th August occurs at 18 degrees Leo, just 3 degrees from an exact hit. The Facebook Sun is going to be eclipsed twice in 6 months. You better believe it that this is going to be a difficult year for the all conquering Social Media site. My prediction is that it's the beginning of a decline for Facebook as the world moves on to pastures new. So happy birthday Facebook - enjoy your birthday ;)
