AstroEcon joins steemit today 3/13/2018

Robert Hitt has been a blogger from before the time the term blogger was used online. My site astroecon.com has been online continuously since January of 1996 making it one of the few sites that old that are still in operation. My site and a few others such as George Ure urbansurvival.com and Mike Rivero site whatreallyhappened.com were key in creating the style of delivery of daily updated content in the1990s that later became known as blogging. Astroecon.com was one of the first sites in the mid 1990s to actually produce enough income for making a decent middle class living through posting original content. I had a lot of traffic to my free material and up to 10,000 different subscribers to my paid subscription services doing market forecasting. I had days in the early 2000s that had 50K hits on my home page in a single day. Back in the beginning in the 90s, early adopter web masters helped each other to generate traffic and we all considered it sharing the wealth. I hope that spirit of cooperation is alive on STEEMIT today.

Astroecon content became very cutting edge in the post 911 period when those of us brave enough to say what they saw were on the front lines of the truther movement. The massive amount of blowback against most of us post 911 has taken a toll over the years and especially in the 2009 period when government policy became divide conquer and disrupt the truth movement. The internet became flooded with disinfo and traffic stealing of content became rampant. I demonetized astroecon in 2009 rather than be silenced after being hacked repeatedly by 3 letter agencies and even trolled in my personal life. I am joining steemit as a way to make an honest living writing what I see and forecasting about what I see coming in the future again.
I intend to post about 1000 pages of my archives from 1998 till present on Steemit after I am able to edit them into a more readable format as a series of books. I will also begin to video updates on d-tube soon. Steemit is hopefully a second life for astroecon operating outside the confines of the prison for minds that the internet has slowly become.
