What is ASMR? What are the tingles?

ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response. It is just a psychology gibberish meaning sounds that feel good and give you tingle in the back of your head give you "the tingles" in the back of your head and spine.

So, basically It is like low ambient noises and sounds and that has a very personal touch to it that triggers these sort of tingles. It is an experience. And for years now the ASMR community has been growing and now it is accepted by people in wide range and transforming into an art form. People have dedicated themselves in making ASMR videos which include that very personal touch to it. In these videos the content creator communicates with the viewer in a personal manner that makes you feel very happy and relaxed. I am a student of science and it makes me so relaxed that I don't give a shit about the science and why it makes me feel that way but I just watch the videos and feel that sense of euphoria that you can't describe but just experience for yourselves.

The ASMR Community

Over the years there have been a lot of ASMR content-creators in platforms like youtube and etc. The ASMR community is growing rapidly and a lot of people are accepting it. It might feel weird to you at first when you watch your first ASMR video but you just have to be really accepting and not think it is weird and just go with it as it would be with trying any other new thing.
You can get to know what ASMR is from this video below : she explains very clearly what ASMR is very clearly.

Videos and content creators

These content creator have really gone out of there way to do what they like and believe in. Surely it isn't something lucrative to be making weird videos with the risk of being publicly known as a creep or weirdo. They have have families like we do right guys so I think you can really empathize with what they have felt at times from there surrounding people and environment.

What are "the tingles"

The first time I felt the tingles was magical. You feel this tingle in the back on starting from the mid of your spine to the top of your head in the back. It's really fun to trigger it. A lot of people get the tingles others don't but for those who don't they can try different triggers(sounds that triggers ASMR)and find out if they do. And for those who absolutely don't they can watch the ASMR videos for the relaxation and smooth experience.
I think ASMR videos are great and there's nothing to hide about to others if you do like it. :D If you are hiding but you like ASMR that's just sad. Be who you are and share what you like to others. People might like what you like.

Support ASMR if you like it.
