Announcing the winners from the previous week

The question from the previous week was What is the most touching thing someone has done for you? You can read the full post here

There were 2 joint winners this week who received 5 SBD each

The first winning comment this week was from @mela913 who commented with the following:

"I think the most touching thing someone has ever done for me is to Accept Me The Way I Am. When my friends, family or significant other genuinely understand me and who I am that is the most touching thing. For example, my best friend and I went to college together but after that we lived in different places so we just talked every few days. One day I hadn't talked to her for a few days and I randomly received a link from her with the news that a museum was looking for volunteer story tellers to tell stories to children and she said :"this reminded me of you :)". That truly touched me because even if it would've seemed silly to others she really got me and knew i'd love that. She didn't think it was embarrassing and she didn't just pass the page. I really appreciated that. Another example was when my boyfriend who had flown in to see me told me to not worry about what we would do for our anniversary. He had already been visiting me for a week and I was driving us up and down doing fun and adventurous activities. He said that on our anniversary he would be driving and that he was going to take me somewhere but that it was a surprise. On that day he drove for almost 2 hours and I spent the entire time guessing what we would do. When we finally arrived I realized he had booked us on a Horseback riding trail and I was so surprised tears came to my eyes. Sometime before, we had once passed a horse and I had mentioned that I loved horseback riding and really cherished the memories of when my parents took me as a kid. I explained why I liked it so much and laughed as I tried to convince him why I thought it was so great because it didn't seem like something he'd do. Well, apparently he saw how genuine I was and decided to surprise me with that. He said he was ready to try it again and he was so happy the entire ride. He could've easily ignored my comment but instead he listened, acted and gave me a wonderful gift. I really do love horses and sometimes feel people don't get how much. Even if I don't talk about it all the time he got it and I loved that! <3"

The second winning comment this week was from @dearjyoce who commented with the following:

"The most touching thing someone done to me? One night I came home late, Im so tired and my legs are sore coz Im on field the whole day constantly walking (marketing work). I badly need massage so I phoned every massage therapist that I know but they are not available. So i just start massaging my own legs atleast. Then suddenly my 1 year old baby came to me and massage my legs with all her strength. She's trying! There's no pressure at all just wee hands on my legs like scratching but thats the best massage I had in my life! I was touched coz she feels mommy needs massage. She's smiling at me. A big smile! This picture say it all 😊"

What's the scariest thing that happen to me?
I was 18 when I got pregnant. My first baby boy died having hydrocephalus and single nostril at 7 months. I got pregnant again and the baby girl died in my womb at 5 months. Third pregnancy im hopeless but God blessed me a son, full term. I thought my ex was an angel. Later i knew that he was a drug addict/gambler. The time i knew it, it became worst. People come to our house to buy drugs. Im so scared at that time of everything. I pray over him at night when he is sleeping. I try talk to him to stop what he is doing. But he never listen to me. Till it came to the point that my son see what they are doing. And i tell to myself my son will not live this life, this environment. One night we had a fight and he pull my hair from the street up to the house and my son hysterically crying as he witnessed his mom dragged by his father. I cried not for me but for my son. I fight back and told him im going to police so he got mad and hit me and lock me in the house. One day i tried to escape with my son but he saw us and wanna kill me but i able to run and leave my son. I had sleepless night. I escaped but my son is still there so i go back on plan of getting him. I tried to be very good to him like i want to be with him and have a happy family. But everyday is like hell in that house. He still lock me inside the house. I never told any of my family about that coz im ashamed. Maybe you wouldnt understand. Then one day he forgot to lock the door. I call my sister who happened to be in Manila that time i told her to call taxi now. Its raining heavily that time. I was scared of getting caught. I was scared to death. My body is shaking as i grab my son and the taxi was already outside. I ran carrying my 1 year old son without looking back right through the taxi without anything. Just me and my son. We escaped. Im glad we did. I thank the Lord for that.

You are very brave and strong. I am sorry to hear what happened to you but glad to know you are fine now.

Thank you. ☺

WoW! I can't imagine what you've gone through, and how tough it must have been for you. Thank God that you escaped that terrible environment with your son. You are such a strong woman for doing that. Bless you sister.

Smile and hug and a big thank you to you @nextgen622 sincerely.

The scariest thing that I ever done was giving birth my third daughter without any help from doctors. At that time, it was still 7 months pregnancy and supossed to wait for another 2 months to give birth. There was something wrong that I are before and made my stomach in so much pain, which also made me have contractions. It was really really bad, especially I was alone, my family was just left to go shopping. Then, I called them, they were panic. They tried to ask some doctors and nurses who stay nearby. But, it was saturday night, everybody left for fun. Actually, my family asked me to go to the hospital but I remind them about the traffic jam. Besides, the water already came out from the womb, and I could see my baby's head. I dont want to give birth in the car while traffic jam is happening, it will be more dangerous. So, i asked my younger sister to find clean towels and boiled really hot water. None of my other family, including my husband, who dare to help me. It was to scared to see, though, understandable. So then, afer everythig ready, I told my sister that I am ready. Then my baby came out from my womb, my sister who hold her. As a premature baby, she was so small, just as big as a bottle of mineral water, less than 2 kgs. It was a relief, but it was not enough. My sister asked me how to cut her umbilical cord. For sure I had no idea, I helped my pets before, but human? So, I said, I had no idea. We both did not know what to do, we asked others to continue looking for doctors or midwife or whoever who can help me. After waiting for about 45 minutes, a midwife came to help us. Then eveythig was done by her. Thank God! After that experience, my sister cried, she had a big trauma. She was still a student, young, and unmarried at that time, but not for too long. I was also had trauma and some infections, I was almost die a few days later after that. Again, God is vey nice to me, I was survived. The most important is, my baby was a very strong one. She grew up healthyly and normal. Today, she is already grown up to be 10 years old beautiful young lady. Very healthy and want to be a fashion designer. Well, this is just a story of my life, the scariest one that I ever done. Warm regards from Indonesia.

I feel you. I had 3 babies died preterm babies never made it in 9 months. And you are lucky after all youve been through been rewarded now that shes grown up and following her dreams. I admire you for that. God bless you and your family.

I am so sorry to know what happened to you. Thank you for your appreciation. God bless you and all. Warm Regard.

Wow. What a dramatic story. Thank God you and your baby were ok and doing well now.

hi there @nextgen622 , i hope you like this story of mine, and here it goes....

The scariest thing that I did is when I stayed at my auntie's small house while I was studying at school. My auntie only goes back home by night time after office hour and I always come by there in noon time for lunch time and also at nightime after school. I spend few months there because its very near to our school but left immediately when I felt this eerie experince.

At first, it's just a usual days of school, then one time I take my usual lunch at my aunt's usual house. Just me eating and enjoying my usual instant noodle and some usual fried egg and suddenly somebody knocks on the main gate, (very unsual). So I hurried up and look who it is, but no one is there. So I continue taking my lunch.

After I finished eating, once again the knocking starts again but more loudly, "IN THE FRONT OF THE DOOR". This time i felt a little freaked-out because and of-coarse you cannot go inside whithout going through the main gate. So i rushed up again and looked at the window next to the front door to see who's messing up with me and unfortunately and strangely again no one is there. And at that moment I am really spooked. Immediately, soon as I turned my back to the front door, the knob turn by itself very wildly like someone wants to burge in. My eyes became wide and my heart starts pounding crazy.

Because of my panicking I yelled very loud that so many swearing words in every language that i know came out in my mouth. In a flash, i grab my things, living my food at the sink and rushed to the back door and jump over the wall and run to our school. One of my classmate asked me "why so frightened?" But I kept ignoring him because of just what happened.

After those things I move back to my place leaving my auntie by herself. I asked her, "did you encounter some kind of eerie feeling here aunti?", "No!" she said, but a bit disturbed. And I said "I just met a freaking ghost in your house in a middle of the day Auntie!!". And after few days my auntie also move to his sister's house because she also felt someone is always looking at her in the kitchen, in the living room, in the bathroom and even while she's sleeping ih her bedroom.

That is the scariest thing I did, "Staying at my auntie's house", Why? Because I am freaking scared of ghost! I will never ever ever ever ever ever go to a place like that anymore.

I think the scariest thing I have ever done so far is to officially denounce Islam to be honest, considering the death penalty for apostates as well as risking almost everything such as being disowned by my family... I will never forget how scary it was at the time back in 2013!

Life must be live as you want it to be. If that makes you happy you did a good job. And glad you pass that scary part of your life.
