In addition to the Meghna in Chandpur, the Meghna fall into the Bay of Bengal. The main branches of the Padma are: Kumar, Garai, Bhairab, Madhumati, Arial Khan, Mathabhanga, Ichamati, Chitra etc. The tributaries of Padma are Mahananda, Nagar river, Punarbhaba, Tangan and Kulich.
