Each stages of the growing cycle is important an unfortunatly a farmer can loose his crop at any stage : soil structure, germination, fertilisation, water supply, maturity, what makes farming a risky job. Risk is better share if you grow different crops.
Thanks @askanything, relatively you are very correct, low crop yields usually come as a result of the fact that some farmers often ignore some of these factors thereby risking their own work.
