One of my favorites, all I can say!
It makes me think of the washed out river banks where I used to live in Canada, revealing old embankments of wooden stakes driven into the soil to prevent erosion (didn't help any), tree roots and some buried stuff coming out into the daylight again, such as animal skeletons and old remnants of human habitation. Some areas one could even find fossils, sharks teeth (in Canada, on the prairies!)

wow, super photos - the last one looks precarious: it isn't, but one gets the feeling the rock could drop any time now, just when you are under it.
The zoom images are quite something to see!

Yes, it was weird to stand under it, especially when you consider that earthquakes are not that uncommon on Cyprus.
