Portrait painting.....(oil color)

Hello, my dear steem friends hope you are all well. You know that I like to paint with watercolor. Watercolor is my favorite media. But one of my painter friends suggests me to paint with oil color. So I try to get some new experience with oil color. Here is my first oil painting portrait of a rural old man.

It's a good experience friend. In watercolor, it has no chance if ones apply dark value than come back to light. But oil color gives the opportunity. I really enjoy this colors behavior. I will try more to get the better result. By doing this portrait I learn how can a canvas prepared. Use of linseed oil and turpentine.
