Smoke on the water. Jazzy blues cover
"Smoke on the Water" is an all time favourite hard rock anthem by the English rock band Deep Purple. It was first released on their 1972 album Machine Head. I created a different version more in the jazzy blues field/ more similar to the 70s style of The Doors/ , but tried to keep the aggressive feeling of the vocals. Let me know if you like it.
We all came out to Montreux
On the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile

Were at the best place around
But some stupid with a flare gun

Funky Claude was running in and out

But Swiss time was running out

Would it be too difficult to release the song on @dsound but also include a YouTube link, in the body of the same post, that way everyone can hear it regardless if they’re android or iOS? That makes sense, right? A dsound link is the feature and there’s a YouTube link in the body of the article. That wouldn’t be cool with dtube, you wouldn’t want to mix dtube and YouTube like that. Dsound is cool though cuz it’s just audio. 👍🏿
Hey dude, if you don’t mind.. I’ve seen some really talented musicians come through here and fight and grind like any trade or platform to make themselves comfortable. One thing I noticed works really well around here is when the musician does song requests—it requires engaging with your audience.
I saw one guy on here, he would put it out there on steemit that he’s taking song requests and, if he picked your song, you received like 1.0 Steem or something like that. But it gained him a lot of traction and his Steemit career took off—he did song requests 7 days a week for probably 5 months straight. I dig your style, @shemzee, your dedication is awesome!

Have you ever heard 7 Years by Lukas Graham? It’s electronic mostly with some piano but the vocals are huge and awesome! It’s a well known song, too, I think the community will appreciate it. What do you think? Oh, and tell me the truth, have you ever received such a specific, long song request like this? Ha!!! Yeah, don’t answer that.

Thank you dandays. I checked the song, never heard of it before, but I ll give it a try as I promised. It will take a little while to learn the lyrics. I figured out the chords and found a comfortable key for singing but I ll need more time for the words. Not to read them but to feel them and make them sound like my own words.When I m ready I ll post it on YouTube and put a link here on steemit. I understood you can't access dsound but I m not planning to post it there. It's more suitable for studio versions of covers and original songs a lot better than other platforms of that kind.
