In my house, our hallway is my personal little gallery. This mixed media artwork hangs on its own in my hallway, given pride of place on the wall at the end of the corridor. It’s colored pencil, metallic gold pencil, and art marker. In creating the piece, I sketched out the design, then set down the colored pencil shapes and overlaps, then laid down the metallic gold pencil, and finished by setting down the marker blocks of color and sharpening the edges of all the shapes and outlines.
