Hello folks, here’s my entry for today’s “ARTSTORM CONTEST #53 - DAY 1- SUMMER WEEK - THEME TODAY : SUNBATHING.”
Living here in Northern Iowa, where the temperature is less than 30 degrees (and that’s below the freezing point BRRRRRR... ) I wouldn’t mind a little sunshine to bathe in right now, that’s for sure!
As I drew this image today for this contest , I began to visualize myself living in Southern California again. I’m sitting , eyes closed, in a comfy lounge chair, along side the beautiful deep blue ocean. I feel the warmth of the sun, as it slowly covers my body like a soft blanket. I’m experience such tranquility, joy, utter delight as I curl my toes inward, holding sand between them.
I’m listening to the sounds of the waves as they splash, to and fro, and move forward and backwards upon the shore. I can hear the lovely sounds of seagulls flying right above my head, and can picture them in my mind, wings stretched out completely, floating gently in the air, just like butterflies, the wind beneath there wings.
Ooooooo... how I love the smell of the ocean, with all it’s wonderful fragrance, and I wish I could bottle it up, and keep it with me forever. I slowly open my eyes, to see a glistening white sail boat, off in the distance, dancing up and down, what a magnificent sight to behold on this glorious day! All my senses have come alive as I take it all in, relishing every second of this experience. There’s no where else I’d rather be, it’s heaven on earth... it’s perfect... It’s a gift from God ... I’m so blessed to know He’s here with me, sharing this time together. This memory, I pray, will stick in my mind to treasure and cherish for eternity.
