All In One Stone (#131)
Change
In Chinese landscape is called shanshui. Literally this means 'mountains and water'. The word contains a unity of opposites. In mountains and water the extremes of hardness and softness come forward. According to Taoism, all phenomena in nature are transformed again and again in the interaction of complementary forces.
The rock is worn away by water. The majestic forest giant eventually falls and breaks down into nutrients for other plants.
