Hi guys it's @dee-y once again for the second time today lolz. So for this post we would be diving into some digital art for the wild and Strange Contest by @papa-pepper, this is always one fun contest for me because there are 5 stages and you can join in at any of the stages regardless of whether you joined the previous stages or not. I would also love to deeply thank @papa-pepper for his last contest which i happened to have won of of the stages. Am truly grateful.

Now to the order of the day, we are in stage two of the contest right now and we are required to make an art out of this picture which won the first round by @fatherfaith.

It's not surprising this picture won the first round, one can clearly relate to the good work @fatherfaith is doing. We have lots of hungry children in the world today and providing for even one mouth is as great a deed as providing for many. With so much joy on the children's faces, one can see they are very happy to have been catered for and that happiness on their different faces is what really matters in the end. Hope we who are benefitting from steemit can help more people like this, the world will be a better place in no time.

Alright enough talk, after much deliberation on what kind of creativity i wanted to display with the above picture, i finally came up with this.

Well this is how i made it in brief.

The making...

So first i had to make a copy of the original image for preservation and then proceeded to making it black and white image like this.

Next was the main inspiration, which was the airplane i added to symbolize a level of progress, as compared to the original picture. I got the plane from a free site which i sourced below.

Well next i had to take my time to use the selection tool to select the parts of the image i needed.

I had a problem here because the image had too many people in it and the background did not have a very bright lighting making it difficult for the selection tool to work perfectly. I had to zoom in and zoom out a lot of times to select various parts.

Well i had to do away with some parts that did not fit my end plan while still preserving the message behind the original picture. I eventually came up with this after adding a graphic pen effect to the selected image...

Up next, i added the same graphic pen effect to the airplane, with the same settings for the above picture to preserve likeness. And this is how the airplane also looked like after that...

And finally i created a new file with appropriate inches and a white background, i dragged both images into this new file layout and mixed both images together to give me my final product, and i achieved this by placing the image of the airplane behind or below the selection cutout of the main image which gave us this...
