My biggest advice for a Steemit noob is to use Gary V's 1.80 strategy to grow a social media account. IN a nutshell, just like you did here, drop your "2 cents worth" in the comments on 90 or so posts a day. You'll get noticed way more than if you just try to build a following with tags. I tried to use DTube a few times, but, for me it was always glitchy. Maybe it's gotten better it has been a while since I posted on there.
