6 years ago today I met then President of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla Miranda

I met her on a flight from Mexico to Costa Rica. I lived in Costa Rica at the time. That day I woke up with a really weird, but really strong feeling to put a small painting in my carry on bag, to give to someone on the plane for good karma for 2013. Then while we were waiting to board, I was amazed to see Doña Laura get on the plane with her family! So I quickly gave it to her when I passed by her seat as I was boarding.

After the plane took off, she had a flight attendant come get me, and we spoke for a while. She seemed to really resonate with the little painting I gave her. It was an amazing synchronicity that solidified to me that working towards making art my career was the right path to be on!
