Disease. Pen drawing.
I tried to crank out this pen drawing in 1 day. I failed. Here is a bit of step by step:
I started with the head, doing this strange bumpy texture. Sort of like smallpox.
Head finished. I ended up doing the eyes last.
I went with viruses/cells for the background. I used a very small tipped pen for this to keep the background lighter.
The background is almost finished.
Finished piece. 11x14".
Get grim!

You have a great imagination that gives it an eerie presence. A bit like the disease has taken over the whole paper lol. I really enjoyed this piece as it is so different.
Amazing creepy super work. The sketch is so good that I can feel those virus and cells through my screen :D
Grim indeed.
I admire your patience for such an intricate technique.
The result is worth the work, though.
Despite the repulsive look of the work, there is something profoundly human, subtle, pitiful. The eyes and the mouth did the work, I think.
It speaks of our vulnerability. It is almost as if the disease itself felt sorry for us
hi @achristopherart
really amazing what you managed to do with a simple pen !! Does this design style have a particular name? Do you draw anything or do you have favorite subjects like human heads?
congratulations on your curie vote and thanks for sharing
I have no idea if it has a specific name. I draw a lot of heads and faces. Probably too much to be honest.
Thanks for the kind words.
my jaw dropped to the floor already on the first picture. Enormous effort with creating this amount of details just overwhelmed me. With the next pictures and next steps, you just blew my mind. Finnal effect is a killer. I am going to follow you since now, also going to explore the older posts. I am curious about your creativity and style. Need to know your artworks better. Huge job man ! Suppose to get way much higher money reward !
