Blackfish. Pen drawing.
Continuing on the aquatic life. Here is the blackfish! A combination of a bizarre small fish that was discovered in a volcano on the ocean floor. I also added features similar to a catfish, and the very fascinating angler fish.
This piece is 9x12", Pen on paper as usual.

That hatching for the main background is even more involved than I'd thought after watching this(finally, DTube decides to play properly.) What interests you in particular in these species of fish you're taking inspiration from?
I have done quite a bit of night fishing on the ocean. You see a lot of strange creatures. I used to wear an extremely bright light on the hat that would easily show you quite a few feet down from the surface.
I like to usually combine different features of fish just to make something different. Create something unique instead of completely copying someone elses photograph.
