Hello Friends!

Here’s my entry for “Artstorm Contest #59 - Day 1 - Theme : Walk A Dog.”
When I think about walking a dog, I think of “Toby” my little white dog, and taking him for a walk. Toby is a purebred Coton de Tulare, and a male. There breed originated in Madagascar, they are small dogs, and most of them are pure white like Toby is. This breed of dog is considered to be hypoallergenic, because they have essentially no dander, or hair loss, and their most noted for there incredibly soft coat of fur that is very curly, and feels and looks like fluffy cotton, which is where they get their name from. Normally their a great family dog, and Toby certainly loves his family very deeply, he lives for us, we are his greatest joy. When where gone for even a half an hour and we come back home, Toby will be jumping straight up very high into the air, about four feet from the ground (like you might see a dolphin do a jump from out of the the water.) I say like a dolphin because he twist and turns in the air with such delight, it’s really fun to watch him do that. It takes him quite awhile before he settles down, it’s funny, you would think we’d been gone for days. He is so dedicated to the ones he loves, which is literally just a handful of people. Everybody else he hates! unfortunately he is “insanely” protective over his people. and if you ain’t his people, he wants you dead. Toby considers himself to be a mighty warrior and watchdog, he has absolutely know idea of how small he really is, he is the typical ankle biter. It will take him less than five seconds to go into attack mode. And I admit, when he is viciously snorting like a pig, baring his sharp white teeth and pitch black gum line, when his eyes are bulging and glassy, when his total body is quivering from his little black nose to the tip of his tail, when he’s got that “I want to kill you” look on his face, he’s pretty terrifying I must say.
So this is a character sketch of “Toby the vicious “ as we have lovingly nicknamed him. I’ve titled this drawing “ When Hydrants Strike Back,” my next door neighbors has a real hydrant just like this one, in there front yard right next to the street, we try to keep him away from it, after all, a dog can’t pass one up without lifting there leg to do there business. I hope you get the joke❣️
