Hi Steemies,

Another artstorm day challenge to keep our imagination and creativity alive. My interpretation of the theme is not the leisurely activity but an untoward incident that lead to a brief journey out in the sea.

The Blue Bells

Scene 36: Escape

Back at the house of Debbie, the kids are a bit low on energy. The mural painting kept them busy all afternoon and now they are lounging inside the living room watching a replay of the Pinky and Spiky show. The kitchen is filled with utensils and plates to wash. Debbie is still finalizing the concept about the second flavor of her cake which is inspired by the blue love birds.

The cat Via just woke up and wants to play. She searched for the field mouse around the house and found it nibbling on the left over cake atop the kitchen sink. Via excitedly flew in the air and landed on a pile of dishes.

Debbie: Via be quiet
Via: prrrr prrrrr

The impact of Via's landing caused the dishes to tip over together with the mouse. Debbie thought that was her signal to wash the dishes and so she wasted no time and cleaned up. The continuous flowing of water from the faucet flushed the poor mouse down the drain. Down he went until he reached the underground sewers. Piles of garbage floating around the stinky place. The mouse found a floating toy with a small sail attached to it. Could be a child's work. Then the water gently carried him away. The current keeps getting stronger every turn and drop. Soon the city water reached it's final point which is the ocean.

It was almost dark when the mouse sailed the ocean. He is afraid of the vastness of it, anything could happen. He fears meeting another predator but he kept his faith. He has a good sense of navigation and can locate the right landmarks and places. Maybe this would be his ticket in going back home.
