Entry for Artstorm Contest #13 - musical instruments

Here is my digital art entry for today's art contest which is hosted by Dee Marshall @deemarshall. For details of the contest you may read this post
The theme is musical instruments to be drawn in 15 minutes. This drawing is what I came up with, I want something that is unique and interesting. It is a medieval mandolin. I chose this instrument because of its beautiful shape that can be liken to a 🍐 pear. That is also the reason why I made it in color green. The other reason is I thought a mandolin is a nice name and it's not only a kitchen gadget for slicing but a beautiful musical instrument.

When I was making this drawing, I used the "symmetry" functionality of my drawing app. This can save me time as there will be no need to draw the other half of the subject. Simply put, when symmetry is turned on, whatever you scribble on the canvas it automatically gets mirrored to the other half of the canvas.
