Vénus de Willendorf
The statuette is in oolitic limestone and is 11 cm high. She represents a naked woman standing, presenting a strong obesity, the arms placed on her chest. The head, finely engraved, is bent forward and seems to be completely covered by coiled braids. The law of frontality, that is to say of symmetry, is respected.
Remnants of pigments suggest that originally the statuette was painted red. The perfection of his modeling has brought him world renown.
