Who am I?
I'm an artist, I've interacted with folks of varied ages and from many walks of life; and there are those few that will ask me how long I've been an artist and my response is always the same :
All of my life.
I don't ever remember not spending time creating art of some kind. Whether I was designing new helmets for football teams (I was about 8, purple was my favorite color, so the Vikings were already on my good side!) or cutting my barbie doll's (ALL of them) hair, I've spent my 'spare' time creating things I find beautiful.
It seems to be just who I am, innate, a thing I cannot change. "Arting" is an integral part in my sense of happiness and self worth.
I've explored a wide variety of things that are art related. I've tattooed, blown glass and photographed beautiful things.
Now, I find my passion has led me to painting. When I'm stressed, I paint. When I'm happy, I paint. I paint to express my real self. My style has evolved as I have evolved as a person and artist.
Who knows how long I'll be a painter, but I'll always, always be an artist.
I love this post!
Who knew you liked the vikings?!?
I am glad to see your post getting a solid upvote. That feeling of seeing your post in the double digits for a payout is intense.
I love your art! Someday when I make my way out east, and have a stack of cash, I am going to buy up some of your work.
Aww...thanks Tawasi! I'm also a Green Bay fan, ha! I'm blown away by this post, and I'm still learning how this all works. As for my art, I promise, I'll keep painting! Love you my friend!
