Revolution in the labor market: what professions will be in demand in the future

Whether robots and artificial intelligence will really cause job cuts. What professions are at risk? And what specialties will be in demand?

I think that many of you familiar with the theory of the industrial revolution...

Third industrial revolution is the transition to renewable energy sources and electric vehicles, the transformation of houses into mini-power plants, energy storage and its distribution. However, fourth industrial revolution blurring the boundaries between the physical, biological and digital spheres, and innovation is the main tool. Cloud technologies, "big data" (big data), the Internet of things, drones, 3D printing — these are the first signs of future changes. And in the future, innovations will appear and develop even more rapidly: large companies and entire countries will contribute to this.

It's no a secret that today an ordinary resident of a small EU town can sell excess energy generated by solar panels on its' roof. Gradually, these innovations will come from developing countries – it is inevitable. However, this is not the limit.

Automatisation is coming soon ....
Over time, almost all production processes will be automated, as well as many operations that were previously performed by workers. A majority of scinitiest say: "it doesn't matter who you are: a factory worker, a financial Advisor or a professional musician. Automation will still affect you. The only question is when it will happen."

If there was a possibility of reclassification in a relatively similar profession in the past, then now it's almost impossible.
Many more jobs will disappear than will be created. And those that appear are likely to require intellectual abilities well above average. Computers will be able to cope with many tasks, and much more effectively than people. And it will be cheaper for the employer than to hire employees.

Accountants and financial analysts
The Economist says that soon computers will be able to analyse a financial data and make decisions much better than people. The speed of information processing in the computer is much higher, in addition, computer is able to maintain objectivity, and of course completely eliminate the possibility of corruption.

Doctors
Technologies that has been created based on the analysis of "big data" are gradually replacing doctors, whose main task is diagnosis. If you think about it, it is logical: because a person can only be based on their own experience, that is, at best, a couple of thousand patients. While the computer can analyse tens of millions of medical histories, identify patterns that are repetitive and, accordingly, diagnose much more accurately.

Lawyers
Today, this profession is one of the most popular and well-paid, but, in the future a situation quit similar, as in the case of doctors, artificial intelligence and big data can lead to the automation of lawyers.

Drivers
Google has proven that a fully Autonomous machine is not a fantasy, but a reality. As a result, the jobs of millions of taxi drivers and truck drivers were threatened.

Farmers
The cause is improvement of agricultural machinery and use of robots

Who can not worry about their place in the labor market (based on Oxford University studies)

Mental health professionals and psychologists
They will have a lot of work, because it will be difficult for many employees to survive the changes. So, if you just spent 10 years by studying law it’s very moment to start studying another 10 years for psychologists, hihi..
Nutritionists and health food specialists
Here, I guess comments no needed
Surgeons
Modern technologies allow to automate part of their work, but not all
Priests

If you look closely at the forecasts for our future, they distinguish two large groups of professions that will be important for humanity. The first is related to the development of new technologies. For example, biotechnologies will develop new products (more efficient and environmentally friendly) and help companies transition to them. The designers of the robots will create different versions of the assistants with artificial intelligence: for doctors, for military, for home use etc. you will Also need architects intelligent systems and operators to manage them. For example, land transport in the future will be fully Autonomous, but you will need people who will design new lines and monitor the performance of existing ones.

The second group of professions is related to the fact that computers are still unattainable: with relationships between people, art and building models (such as, for example, business strategy). If there is no need for a teacher in the traditional sense, mentors, mentors, and coaches will still (and maybe even more) be in demand. The same goes for psychologists. Where human participation is needed, artificial intelligence is not yet able to compete with us.
