Khanduri or in the language of desolation is a very sacred thing done by the people of Aceh Pidie and other Acehnese people. Khanduri is done if a successful implementation is done and in a disaster such as the death of someone. It has become a tradition for the people of Aceh to or can also be said to hold Khanduri Apam in the month of Apam. The activity of toet apam (cooking apam) is done by the mothers in gampoeng (kampong). Generally done alone or in groups. First of all, it needs to be done or it can also be said to cook apam, which is top teupong breuh beet (pounding flour from rice rice). The flour that has been mentioned is then mixed with coconut milk in a beulangong raya (large pot). This mixture is soaked for at least three hours, so that the cooked flames become soft. This perfect mixture is then stirred again to make it liquid. First, the Apam is not cooked with the stove or firewood, but the one with it is' ue tho (dried coconut leaves). In fact, people believe that Apam should not be cooked other than on 'ue thoini because it affects the taste. Cuisine that is considered good, that is if the surface has holes while the back is not black and flat (not pockmarked). The most delicious slurry when eaten with a sauce, called tuhe broth, in the form of coconut milk mixed with western klat (a type of plantain) or cooked jackfruit and sugar. For those who are allergic to gravy, it may be due to its lihih (savory), Apam cake can also be eaten with the size of a coconut mixed with sugar. Even the one who ate Apam (seunge Apam), which used to be in Aceh Besar was called Apam beb. Besides being eaten directly, it can also be soaked for a long time in the broth before eating. This method is called Apam Leu'hop (Wet Apam). After all the sauce has been consumed, Apam is eaten. In the aforementioned feast, what has been cooked with gravy is ready to be served to guests who are deliberately called / invited to the house and somewhere. As well as anyone passing by / passing in front of the house, surely I have enjoyed this Khanduri Apam dish. When sufficient, the Apam feast was also taken to Meunasah (surau in Aceh) and to families who lived in other villages. That is, the Toet Apam program was held from house to house or from the village to the other villages during Buleuen Apam (Rajab month) a full month.

Khanduri Tradition This apam is from a very poor Sufi in the Holy Land of Mecca. The poor named Abdullah Rajab is a zahid who is very obedient to Islam. Because it is very poor, when he died, not even a single date palm seed could be delivered by a person to become a feast of salvation for his death. The heartfelt / sad state of affairs, coupled with the fact that his life history is truly uncommon, has triggered a sense of pity for the people of his village for or it could also be said to hold a lot of salvation in their homes. People cook Apam for or can be said to be given to others. That is the basis of the tradition of toet Apam (cooking apam) which is still being implemented by the people of Aceh. In addition to the Buleuen Apam (the month of Rajab), the feast of Apam is also held on the day of death. When the corpse had finished being interred, all the people present at the cemetery were treated to the one with whom Apam was feasting. Apam in this grave is not given the broth. Only eaten with coconut milk is given with sugar (in lhok ngon u). Khanduri Apam was also held at the Tepung Tawar (peusijuek) ceremony, such as Khanduri Blang (rice field feast), Prophet Muhammad SAW Anniversary, and Khanduri La'ot (Sea feast). In fact, recently, there was a proposal for or it could also be said to apply khanduri apam to men who did not pray Friday to the mosque three times in a row, so that the fine was ordered to or could be said to make a cake like that 100 pieces for or can be said to be delivered to the mosque and relaxed (eaten together) into alms.
