Acehnese noodles are typical of spicy noodles from Aceh. Yellow and thick noodles added with slices of beef, mutton and seafood (shrimp and squid) are served with savory and spicy curry soup. There are two types of Acehnese noodles, namely Mie Aceh Goreng (the shape is dry and fried) and Aceh Mie Kuah (shaped like soup). Aceh noodles are complemented with fried onion slices and served with emping, slices of onion, cucumber, and lime.
