Introducing Creative Street
What is Creative Street?
Creative Street is a non-profit group aiming to share the talents and skills in arts and crafts field among the children who can't afford to buy drawing and painting materials.
It started as a simple idea of sharing and teaching the street children of Manila. On May 19, Creative Street will have it's first boot leg.
LOGO OF CREATIVE STREET
The idea of the logo is to have a street feels, so I decided to add a street light post with a pencil on it as shown on the illustration below.
Then a friend of mine offers help to do the entire Logo :) Her name is Aya Abad (She is also one of the Creative Streets Volunteer)
.
How does the name came up ?
Steph Masalta, also a volunteer, came up with the name of this group. Derived from ART DRIVE which is the initial name for the group.but since we want to share blessings to the street kids and we will do thw activities and workshops mostly at streets and parks we decided to name it CREATIVE STREET
The objective of this group is inspired by CNN's 2009 Hero: Efren Peñaflorida's Kariton Classroom (Pushcart Classroom). I was inspired by him since I read an article about him on 2008 when I was still in highschool. Since then I want to live a life with a purpose, and now is the time I'm about to share things with.
The fund I used here are the rewards I got from Steemit posts :) I also received donation and support from groups and people here on Steemit.
