ART EXPLOSION WEEK 39: Theme WHIMSICAL - An Entry

Today I have enough time to finish my digi-paint, and this one is an entry for ART EXPLOSION WEEK 39: Theme WHIMSICAL by @juliakponsford.

The challenge is to interpret 'whimsical' theme into artworks.

I thought about drawing a mermaid-cat and a cupid-dog giving presents to eachother mimicking Michelango's "Creation of Adam" posing.



...but... I found it hard to do event in the sketching step.

I just go on, looking for basic colors at this stage.

having the nuance captured, I moved on more precised colors

...and finally, some details. I put a crackle texture to give it fresco-looks on the final stage that you can see in the very first pic above.
