Artexplosion week 36 theme: "City" ~> The lost city <3

Hello everyone,

here is my entry for Artexplosion theme: "City"

I wanted to do something different with this theme, something that is close to my favorite things and I came up with :

"The lost city, Atlantis".

I was thinking about those snow globes and wanted to combine this with my Atlantis scéne. When you look into this glass bowl, you see the city, Atlantis with the species that live there, it's like magic because trough her glass bowl she looks at you and the city you live in, say hi :)

I have used the program autodesk sketchbook wich is an amazing program where I just recently started with.
Here you can see the process of this project in a collage :)

I left the outlines of the buildings out because i think the gold building makes the ambiance better and I like that it has a mysterious feel to it.
Also was my plan to write on the " wood" of the glass bowl but the focus needed to stay in the picture and sometimes images say more than words right?! ;)
In Photoshop I used a layer for extra mysterious-ness called "autumn".

This was really fun to do and i like my journey in discovering digital art that I recently started doing too, besides traditional drawing and painting.
