The inside and the outside

I have long felt the true definition of an artist is one whom can reveal their inner workings. We can all create something that conforms to what we think we should be putting out into the world but the secret is going deeper. I have scores of what I call underlying art. Creations that I have put on paper or other mediums but that I stow away for only me to observe and reflect on. In fact much of my artistic endeavors fall under that category.
While I have only been on this platform for a short time, I have encountered much of what I recognize as true art. People divulging what they scoured from their internal flame. The inspirations of such things has made me realize that it's time to take that next step.

This is a collage that I did reflecting on the vices of life and how they take hold of us and the endless effort that we take to quell them(please forgive the novice photo).

While I am not a "professionally" trained artist, I have spent a lifetime expressing my self through art. I have also spent a lifetime condemning myself for my lack of training and deeming my work unworthy of the public eye because of it. I have a feeling that many of my fellow "artists" feel the same. So I have decided to put myself out there if for nothing more than to show that it doesn't hurt to reveal.
