ART EXPLOSION WEEK 36: Theme CITY East Dorniz

Hello Steemies,

Here's my digital art entry to the artexplosion contest by @juliakponsford kindly see this post for details.

I named the city I drew as East of Dorniz. It is a far away civilization that could be seen up above the clouds from Earth.

There's a process gif below but I also included some photos.

One.

I used a mobile phone app called Autodesk. The brush I used all throughout is air brush. I adjusted the value and thickness when necessary to achieve the look I had in mind. On the photo below I started with dark blue sky and sketched some random buildings in black. This is quite a challenging stage as anything can happen.

Two

This city is alien to me and thought I would start creating a tower with clear orbs around it which are also dwellings.

Three

To the right is a building on a hillside same with the structure to the left. The stairs are a good addition.

Four

To complete the look I added some spotlights and clouds and a few distant buildings for depth.
