Art interpretation - Perpetual movement

One of my interpretation of this surreal paint from Rafal Olbinski :

(The rules of the contest can be found here).

The woman is naked which means a certain fragility and also an openness.
She is opened to changes in her life.
She is lying on a big red towel and red is the symbol of passion. So she is opened to a new passion in her life.
Only two others objects are red in this painting : the belt of the man and the hoop through which the dolphin is jumping.

The dolphin which can symbolize simple joy, will actually always be in the hoop, never really passing through it.
He will always have an incentive to make another jump, and another one, endlessly.
He is in perpetual movement.

But, who is driving this perpetual movement ?
The man with the hoop or the dolphin itself ?

Does the dolphin need the man to jump and be happy ?
Does the man really drive the dolphin ?

The same with the woman. She is opened to a new passion in her life.
Does she need someone to live this passion ?
Or is this passion, and joy already somewhere inside her ?
Can she be like the dolphin, always jumping and alive ?
And does she need an external help for this, or does she already have this joy and this life inside of her, no matter what ?

Nice investigation into the meaning of this piece of art. I love how you have connected the red colour with passion.

I also like that your interpretation is a further set of questions. Sometimes art is not about finding the answers, but more about finding the right questions tho make us think and open our minds.

Great work. :)

Indeed, thank you miss.

Nice work, it make me think more of what it truly means the artist to paint. Who is driving this perpetual movement?
Best of lucks in the contest
