Dynamic Composition

I am a big fan of dynamic composition. If you want folks to respond to your artwork - it doesn’t hurt to take a page out of the old masters’ Book and try some eye catching geometry.

This Death and the Maiden has a pretty unique Star shape incorporated into the design.

I have to admit that it was fairly accidental — but it worked out with this interesting shape.

This poster design was deliberately triangular. Triangles are my favorite form to work with.

Here is another deliberate triangle which also incorporates a strong circle. Which gives if a fairly occult feel...

That ends the lessen for the moment. Underlying shape is just something to consider when drawing stuff.
