So, sometimes a treasure chest is much more sinister than it appears. I am really pleased with how this one turned out. I'm not sure the unlucky adventurers feel the same way. Although the mimic looks poised for a hearty meal. Dungeons and Dragons is very much a game of not taking things at face value. Question everything and you tend to stay alive longer. Of course, sometimes greed gets the better of some folks. I hope you enjoyed. Happy gaming!

Where did your piece originally get published?
This was from an adventure published by Expeditious Retreat Press entitled "Halls of Lidless Shabbath". It is for their Advanced /Adventures line which is compatible with 1st edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (the late 70's through the 80's version).
