Flights of Fantasy - New Zealand Style

Here's a piece that I did for the Wellington Comicon a last year. I wanted to do something that really played on the idea of New Zealand and was fun and lighthearted but had a strong fantasy element to it. My wife did an outstanding job on the colours. I call thisone "the flight of the Tuitara". Those fantastical creatures are a mix of the native tui (a really interesting native bird) and the tuatara (a native reptile that is the only living representative of a species that dated back to the dinosaurs). I must confess to being an American immigrant to the fair lands of Aotearoa (New Zealand), but my family and I have embraced our new home with all of our heart. Enjoy and happy gaming!
