Charonodaemon - Adventures Dark and Deep Art

For me, one of the things that initially dampened my enthusiasm for 2nd edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons was the destinct lack of demons, devils and daemons. I mean, if you are wanting to take the fight to the ultimate evil, there really is nothing more evil than the uh, well, exemplars of evil right? Yeah, well, that sort of got rectified later with Planescape (which I really love as a setting) but didn't really have the same feel. Now days, those nasty evil buggers are back to test your adventurers against. One of the lesser known of the evil races were the daemons. Whereas devils are the exemplars of lawful evil and demons the spawn of chaotic evil, daemons walked a more sinister line with neutral evil. These guys are evil not through regimented, well defined despotic laws or sheer churining mindless evil, but evil in it's purest form. Yeah, that just begs to have the fight taken to them. Anyway, they always had a way of firing my imagination and I was thrilled that Adventures Dark and Deep brought them back into the fold. Enjoy and happy gaming!
