4 Ways To Increase Your Productivity and Motivation
When it comes to getting everything done that you have on your list, sometimes we don’t always have a ton of motivation to do it. Whether it’s interfering with our social life or is just plain unenjoyable, sometimes there are plenty of things we’d rather be doing. As a result, we can tend to put off getting it finished, or take much longer than necessary to complete the task. In the end, you just end up wasting time that you could have been spending on things that you prefer doing, but instead, you were procrastinating.
In order to get things finished, you need to get motivated and increase your productivity. Here are some ways how.
Make The Task Fun
When things feel like work then they are often not as enjoyable. However, if you take steps in order to make things fun, it will go by much faster.
Try to set small goals for yourself which you receive rewards for. Invite your friends over to help and have races to see who can complete things first. This won’t just speed up the process but entertain you with a little bit of healthy competition.

Get Rid Of Distractions
Most people agree that one of the biggest culprits for not getting things finished on time is the temptation from distractions. Distractions can be anything from your phone to cleaning the house rather than getting a report done.
Eliminating these distractions from your sight will decrease the possibility of allowing them to suck you in. That means putting your phone in a drawer when you’re in work mode. Or working in a space which won’t distract you to do other things until your work is finished.
Remind Yourself Why You’re Doing It
A huge motivation to get things done is the constant reminder of why we are doing it. Even though the job itself may not be very inspiring, the end result behind it is.
When you’re working on something and you feel yourself staring at the clock waiting for it to be over, remind yourself of that paycheck. If you’re in the gym on the treadmill and can’t wait to get off, remind yourself of how you’ll look in your bikini. Checking in with your motivations frequently will help you remember why the action you’re doing is valuable.
Stay Positive
Constantly telling yourself how much you hate something, or how much you would rather be doing something else won’t do you any favors.
Stay positive by being grateful for the things that you do have rather than don’t have. And try to find the joy even in the mundane.
