Original Watercolor: Wind Power
Another cloud covered day and I had time between running the kids to various events to do another sketch. The wind picked up a few times knocking my water over and blowing all kinds of debris onto my paper and into my eyes. I listened to the kids laughing as they bounced a basketball around in a weird hybrid sport involving a hockey goal. The neighborhood was lacking in activity on this lazy Sunday. A couple walked by and waved. Their dog barked at me.
This is another loose sketch of some windmills I imagined along side a river. Unlike the wind I was dealing with while painting, the wind in the picture was non-existent. The fish are occasionally jumping today trying to pull in one of the insects buzzing across the river. The locals are in town at the farmers market getting fresh fruit and vegetables for this weeks meals. The windmills are brothers all created around the same time many moons ago. They await tomorrows wind where they can generate some power for the local paper mill.

Very nice work! I like the reflections in the water of the windmills and the small group of red flowers along the riverbank.
