Painting With Her Nose! Another Outsider Artist

in #art6 years ago

Boston keeps sharing scenes and experiences I've never had before.

Here's a woman painting the urban landscape - with her nose!

At first, I wasn't sure what was going on. I thought maybe she just had poor eyesight, and was just trying to get an extra-close look at her brush strokes. And maybe that paint got on her nose by accident.

But nope. It was going straight from the palette to the canvas. As far as impressionistic work goes, she was doing a decent job. I mean, I couldn't have painted half as well with my fingers - or a brush.

Still, I can't imagine breathing in those fumes is good for her. Hopefully those paints are non-toxic. And she might have a problem going cross-eyed, working that close to the canvas.

It was a decent way to get some attention, though. People were stopping and staring, with reactions that were almost as good as the painting itself. She definitely got more attention than yesterday's robot dancer.

Without any visible tip-jar, or an indication of why she was doing what she was doing, we can only speculate on the purpose of this performance.

Maybe it wasn't a performance at all. Maybe she's another outsider artist who doesn't care what the world thinks. Maybe she's just exercising her passion for nose painting in the best possible place for it.

Well, maybe. But something tells me she wanted some attention.

Seems to be acrylics which is not good for the lungs. The good news is that the colours look cheap and cheap colours are mostly healthy these days as they use cheap pigments which is made from harmless semi-organic solutions and not from heavy metals.

This girl seems to have tried to paint with her hair too, by the way.

Fair play to her. I've painted with a few appendages in my life, but never my nose, haha.

Wow, that seems soooo impractical! I hope she's making money!

That was the strange thing. No tip jar anywhere!

Have you ever tried to paint with your cock with some nutella on it?
You should. Nutella is not toxic. I guarantee!
