Resurgence

in #art6 years ago

This is the first painting I completed after fire season ended. It felt rushed, and the whole time I was working on it there was this underlining feeling of uncertainty. So much had changed in those last few months out in the wilderness, and as a result, I knew my art had to change as well.

I started with framing the image. As I said earlier it felt a little rushed, and I only made it a few layers down before jumping in to the core image. What can i say, I just got back home and was really excited to paint again.

I'm not sure where these animal symbols are coming from. They have been finding their way into my paintings for the last year now and more kinds keep showing up. This mare is the newest addition.

They remind me of spirits.

Things get stranger from here on out. Thanks for viewing. Let me know where this painting takes you.

Stay tuned for more.
