Passion for creation - Loving Vincent

What do everyone of us know about Vince Van Gogh? He cut his ear, did not sell almost any picture during his life, committed suicide, the first painting association is probably Sunflowers. In a word, weirdo. He saw himself as weirdo - what he describes in his letters to his brother – just like other people saw him. The world has not changed, most will continue to see him as his contemporaries, the majority will be looking for a sensation, instead of trying to find at least some truth.

Your Vincent is the first film that has been "painted". Actors first recorded scenes that became the starting point for the work of more than 100 painters, who each frame of the film transferred to the canvas so that the images looked like painted by Van Gogh. Every second of animation is 24 photographs of 12 images.

The film's action take place one year after Vincent's death and describes an attempt to deliver his letter to his brother Theo. The delivery of the letter is Armand Roulin, who, along with his entire family, was portrayed by Van Gogh in his paintings. Armand travels in search of Theo, and while on his journey he meets other people, and we, thanks to their flashbacks, learn a little bit about Vincent and the last weeks of his life.

Impressions

Van Gogh's painting technique is mesmerizing and addictive, and because the whole film has been painted using Van Gogh’s technique you cant take your eyes off the screen – although at first you have to overcome the sense of disorientation - the story itself shows quite different - more human - an picture of his personality than the one I have seen so far in various documentaries claiming that Van Gogh's disease was the result of toxins poisoning such as lead, which was the main ingredient of paints. Therefore, I recommend everyone to go to the cinema for this film, it is probably one of the last opportunity to see it on the big screen.

At the end, one more beautiful picture. In Amsterdam there is the Vincent Van Gogh Museum, which I had the pleasure of visiting, unfortunately I will not share any pictures because there was a ban on photography.
