I think this is a peony. I know that because we have one in our garden, and it's just finished blooming. And ours is this color too! They are beautiful flowers. I only wish they would last a little longer. They are beautiful for two maybe three days, and then it seems like suddenly all those petals drop to the ground at once in one big WOOSH and it's all over in a second.
