Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #405 'Brick by Brick to Somewhere'
'Brick by Brick to Somewhere'
A sad backyard consisting of poorly kept buildings shows no mercy nor supports any commercial fantasy. Fully realistic, to the bone. However, there is a way out from this heavy-layered brick-land, a possibility of escape - the little area where the sky is.
Interesting location can always produce a good photo. Even though there is nothing but the location and light. The light makes or breaks the idea. Without appropriate lighting, it may never come through. The way it is composed adds immense values in such circumstances. Notice the carefully chosen position from which I took this photo. If taken from further away, closer, left or right - I'd lose the lines that bind these elements in a coherent whole.**
Look at the flow of colour perspective. From dark tones in the foreground, through lighter and lighter all the way to the white cloud in the little patch of sky surrounded by misery.
Enjoy! :)

You almost made a poem out of this image, @velymir! Despite the environment, there is something that can be rescued. Like everything in life! Here the sky saves, look up, beyond the bricks can mean the difference. Nice day!
Very cool shot :) I like the additional "frame" you've kind of created with the structure in the foreground. Awesome work as always man!
How important is light, if this place were more illuminated it would look totally different, it would not feel so sad and gloomy. It seems sad that there are places like that, it feels very tense. However, the photo is very well taken, you capture all the details in a photograph and I think that's great, @velimir.
Light is very important, A building, a house or any place gives a lot of sadness when this shortage.
Beautiful composition, textures, light, tones, color. Great work again.
It is a very nice construction, the bricks are a piece that fits very well in constructions like this one. Too bad it looks dull and sad because of the lack of light. No doubt, it would look more beautiful if it were well lit, it would not feel so tense all there. But you see everything very well, you are good at taking photos, an expert, @velimir.
As the good Refran says, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, when it comes to artistic expression, masterpieces do not have to be pretty.
In fact, words alone are not enough to describe what art communicates to us.
Very cool as always! The only thing that is missing is a clothes line with clothes on it. :) And great composition as always.
