'Stair Light'
I've found these beautiful stone stairs in a really old building. The light setup was so interesting that it immediately caught my eye. Look at how the natural light falls beautifully from the top of the image, while the small candles on the side create so much atmosphere.
I deliberately didn't make the tonal adjustment for the black baseline but rather left it in a bit reduced contrast. Therefore, we can still see the detail in the areas that would otherwise be plain black. That shift would make the change of mood, painting the image in a negative, obscure tone. I prefer it this way.
I also left the yellow dots on the left side of the frame because they fit well and help the balance. Pay attention to the colour balance achieved by the colour of candles opposing the rest of the image.

I find it very interesting, I like the mystery that this photograph reflects. Both the natural light in the upper part and the light bulbs in the lower part attract a lot of attention. I love.
Perfect image that gives the feeling of ascent, from dark to light, @velimir. The very fact that it is a small space, gives the impression of an exit, a threshold. I imagine that just as there are looks that signify perdition because it is from top to bottom, it gives the sensation of salvation, of the encounter of light. Thank you for sharing.

Amazing thinking of capturing pic. It seems like old fashioned but it still looks attractive very much now a days new generation is not aware of old and unique things. Good idea @vellimir for making old ideas fashioned.
Lovely art piece photography and a tremendous capture @velimir. The old building looks good and more like a haunting nd spooky place. Perhaps i liked the light set up. Genius architecture.
For a min i thought small lamps lit at each of stairs steps corner till i read your post. Call it photomagic...it look awesome ..with natural lights lighting up with perfection not to miss a single step

I think they put candles at the corner of each threshold..A nice idea for lit this historic place away from modern electrics ..
